The colon, also know as the large intestine,
is the last part of the digestive system. It is approximately 5 1/2
feet long and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The job of the colon is to
eliminate waste and conserve water. When this simple process is
disturbed, complications of an unhealthy colon begin. The colon is
now unable to absorb or elimate properly. Whenever waste stays
in the colon for any length of time it poses several problems. An
accumulation of impacted fecal matter, worms, and a buildup of
mucous can become toxic. When toxic waste is not removed through
the anus, it will re-enter and circulate through the blood stream.
This will make a person feel ill, tired, or weak. Secondary,
it can prevent healthy bacteria from fighting off infections.
Finally, a build up of waste can cause constipation and
diarrhea.
Colonics cleanse the colon. Toxic material is
broken down so it can no longer harm the body, and impacted
material inside the colon is removed. Colonics also exercise the
colon muscles. The build up of toxic debris weakens the colon and
impairs its functions. The gentle filling and emptying of the colon
improves peristaltic (muscular contraction) activity by which the
colon naturally moves material. Basically, a colonic will tone the
colon for the better expelling of waste. Colonics can be beneficial
for those with one or more of the following conditions: excessive
weight, chronic constipation, frequent gas and bloating, frequent
fatigue, impaired digestion, irritable bowel syndrome, candida
infections, parasite infections, recurring headaches, bad breathe,
hemorrhoids, irritability, frequent colds, protruding belly,
allergies, indigestion, craving for foods, body odors, coated
tongue, back ache, lack of sex drive, dark circles under eyes, poor
appetite, menstrual problems, and many more conditions.

A Colonic Is Used to Accomplish the
Following:
1. To cleanse the colon: Toxic material is
broken down so it can no longer harm your body or inhibit
assimilation and elimination. Even debris built up over a long
period is gently and slowly removed in the process of a series
of treatments. Once impacted material is removed, your colon can
begin again to operate as it was intend to do. In this very real
sense a colonic is a rejuvenation treatment.
2. To reshape the colon: When problem
conditions exist in the colon, they tend to alter its shape, which
in turn causes more problems. The gentle action of the water
coupled with the massage techniques of the colon therapist helps to
eliminate bulging pockets of waste and narrowed, apathic
constrictions finally enabling the colon to resume its natural
state.
3. To stimulate reflex points: Every
system and organ of the body is connected to the colon by reflex
points. During a colonic these points are stimulated, thereby
affecting the corresponding body parts in a beneficial way.
The procedure is usually a pleasant and a
relaxing experience. You are completely covered with a medical
gown. While you lay on a comfortable massage bed, filtered water
enters the colon, though a sterile disposable tube; you don't have
to do anything. There is no smell, and no mess. You will stay
completely relaxed while your therapist massages your feet
and as you receive slow gentle fills. It is recommended
that you receive a series of three or more treatments, if more are
needed it will be determined by your therapist after your first two
sessions. As long as you maintain a healthy diet, drink pure water,
and exercise you only need to come back 1 to 2 times a
year. The procedure will last 45 minutes and you will be able to go
on about your daily routine with no worries.
